Lesley Halliwell Spirograph Shed Shed plans made from pallets

Lesley Halliwell Spirograph Shed

Lesleys reflections on her time at PSL...

Day 1 Tuesday 3rd August- Drove over to Leeds from Chester this morning and the shed was everything that I had imagined; a huge blank canvas waiting to be drawn on! By the end of the day I had planned out the position of all the stencils, giving me a confidence in the overall structure. By 2pm I had started drawing. The effect is working as I had hoped but it is much slower and more arduous than I had anticipated. How come, even when you try and shift your working method, you often find yourself back on familiar territory (in my case, labour intensive and time consuming)?

Day 2 Wednesday 4th August- Feeling under pressure today because I have a huge surface area to cover before I head back home tonight. Made an 8.30 start and didnt really stop until 6pm (apart from gulping down copious amounts of tea and coffee.) As you can see from the photos I wasnt working alone and want to say a huge thankyou to artists Annie Nelson, Chris Woodard, Tom Williamson, Jane MGeeney and especially Jasmine Patel who worked on the shed throughout and also took some great photographs along the way. I have to admit, it really was a team effort!
